Due to recent heavy rainfall, increased mosquito biting activity is expected during the upcoming week. MRCU surveillance indicates high numbers of mosquitoes emerging from swamp areas along the West Bay Peninsula and other areas of Grand Cayman. MRCU is initiating control operations which will be conducted this week. The Public are advised to try and avoid outdoor activities between 7:15 and 9:15 p.m. in order to avoid the mosquito biting.
